YDC kids enjoyed a Year End Pizza/Pasta Party and received certificates documenting their community service hours to our community for 2008/2009 school year. The 17 participants logged in over 3,000 community service hours.
The estimated value of an hour of volunteerism is $20.25, which means the kids of YDC contributed over $60,750 worth of work to the community!
Next on the agenda for YDC – assisting the Police Department this summer in a full scale exercise and, of course, assisting with the Back to School Back Pack Giveaway in August.
