The Miami Beach Police Athletic League, Inc. held its 10th Annual Book Bag Giveaway – 500 book bags filled with new school supplies were given to underprivileged Miami Beach youngsters.
The Police Chief, along with PAL Board Members and PAL volunteers (Youth Director’s Council and Police Explorers) assisted with this wonderful event which was started 10 years ago as an Eagle Scout Project by Joey Daoud. Joey will also be on hand at this event as he is the current PAL Secretary, Co-Coordinator of the PAL Mentoring Program and Co-Advisor of the Youth Director’s Council.
Recipients of book bags were also treated to a slice of pizza and a drink.
