The Miami Beach Police Athletic League, Inc. held its 10th Annual Book Bag Giveaway – 500 book bags filled with new school supplies were given to underprivileged Miami Beach youngsters. The Miami Beach PAL Mentoring Program and Youth Director Council (YDC), headed by Lori Freedline and Joey Daoud, held a year end recognition event for the kids. For the past few months PAL has been hosting a mentoring program for high school and middle school kids to come together every Saturday, play games, have pizza, and watch educational videos on teen related issues. The program grows each week with new kids, and will continue throughout the year.
