A press conference was held on Tuesday, April 14th to announce that Chief Carlos E. Noriega and the Miami Beach Police Department, along with the Miami Beach Police Athletic League (PAL)  and the Kindergarten COPS program provided a DNA LifePrint and Child Safety Journal to each kindergarten child in North Beach Elementary, Fienberg/Fisher, South Pointe and Biscayne Elementary Schools at no cost.

“Every 40 seconds in the United States a child becomes missing.  If a child becomes missing, parents greatly increase their chance of quickly recovering their child if they immediately provide this kit to a law enforcement officer.”

This DNA LifePrint Child Safety Program provides every parent with vital information / tools immediately ready for Police Officers in the event that their child becomes missing.

Each kit included at no cost:

  • FBI Certified Biometric 10 Digit Fingerprint Profile (given to the parent on a computer disc).
  • High resolution full color Digital Photograph of your child (given to the parent on a computer disc)
