The Miami Beach Police Athletic League, Inc. held its 10th Annual Book Bag Giveaway – 500 book bags filled with new school supplies were given to underprivileged Miami Beach youngsters. On Monday, August 17, PAL hosted its Annual Back to School Fair where 500 back packs filled with school supplies were given to kids. PAL also provided pizza and drinks and the event was a huge success! Over 300 parents and children showed up to pick up the much needed back to school supplies and back packs. The rest will be distributed to local Miami Beach area schools. The previous day YDC and Explorer kids spent the afternoon preparing the back packs, forming an assembly line to pack all 500 bags.
